Visa Requirements

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus do not require a visa for tourist visits to the Republic of Mauritius for stays of up to 60 days (a free visa is stamped in the passport upon arrival).

Required Documents for Entry

Attention! Before departure, tourists must complete an online form via this link.

After completion, a PDF document with an assigned QR code for the traveler is generated. This document must be saved, printed, and presented upon arrival at Mauritius airport.

  1. Passport (valid for at least 6 months from the tour end date);
  2. Return ticket, or ticket to a third country;
  3. Hotel booking confirmation (tourist voucher);
  4. Medical insurance policy;
  5. Completed immigration card (issued on board the aircraft);
  6. Proof of sufficient funds at the rate of $100 per day.

An airport departure tax of $20 is levied when leaving the country, but some airlines already include it in the ticket price.

Customs Regulations

The following items are permitted for import into Mauritius:

  • Cigarettes – up to 200; Cigars – up to 50; Tobacco – up to 250g;
  • Spirits – up to 1L; Beer – up to 2L; Perfume – up to 250ml;
  • 1 camera, 1 video camera, 1 piece of household electrical equipment.

The following items are prohibited for import into Mauritius:

  • Spearfishing equipment, fruits and food products from Africa, East and Southeast Asia, plants, seeds, flowers, sugar cane and its parts, invertebrate animals, gold in coins or bullion.

The following items are prohibited for export from Mauritius:

  • Coral products, items retrieved from the seabed without authorization, seedlings.

Good to Know:

Currency exchange can be done at the airport upon arrival (favorable rate), banks, or exchange bureaus. Exchanging rupees for foreign currency is only possible at the airport when departing the country.

Smoking in public places is prohibited by Mauritian law.
