Visa Requirements
Citizens of the Republic of Belarus can enter Turkey without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days, provided that the total duration of stay in the Republic of Turkey does not exceed 90 days within one year from the date of first entry.
Required Documents for Entry
- Passport (the passport must be valid for at least 90 days from the end date of the trip); Children under 18 must have their own passport for traveling abroad, with the following conditions: – Traveling unaccompanied by parents/adoptive parents (hereinafter referred to as parents) requires a notarized consent from both parents; If accompanied by at least one parent, consent from the second parent is not required, but a document confirming the status of the child's legal guardians is necessary;
- Air tickets or itinerary/e-ticket receipts;
- Voucher;
- Medical insurance policy.
Customs Regulations
Import of any currency into Turkey is unrestricted. Amounts exceeding $5,000 must be declared on the customs form.
The following items can be imported into Turkey duty-free:
- up to 1 kg of coffee
- no more than 2 liters of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content up to 22% and no more than 3 liters of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content over 22%
- up to 3 cartons of cigarettes or 50 cigars.
All electronic equipment (laptops, video recorders, televisions, etc.), jewelry, and other valuable personal items (valued over $15,000), as well as antiques, must be declared on the customs form upon entry.
Turkish Lira can be exported in an amount equivalent to $1,000.
Valuable personal items (valued over $15,000) can be exported from Turkey if they were registered on the customs declaration upon entry into the country, or if they are accompanied by documents proving their purchase with legally imported currency. The export of antiques from Turkey is prohibited.
Exporting a new carpet requires documents confirming its purchase.
Antique items can be exported with permission from the authorized national body.
Good to Know:
The selection of souvenirs is vast, and prices are generally cheaper than in any other Mediterranean country. Bargaining is customary and, according to local mentality, expected.
In Turkey, the sale of alcohol in municipal cafes and restaurants is prohibited. Being intoxicated in a public place can lead to arrest.
At the hotel, keep valuables in the safe. Do not leave anything valuable on the bed, as it may be mistaken for a tip.
