Visa requirements

Citizens of Belarus do not need a visa for Russia. There is no border control at the land border between Belarus and Russia, and Minsk–Russia flights are treated as domestic. Still, keep your passport with you: it may be checked on arrival.

Belarusian citizens are not issued a migration card. Migration registration is not required for the first 90 days from the date of entry. The RuID app and QR code are not required for Belarusian citizens.

Documents required for entry

  • Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus. An ID card is not valid for entering Russia;
  • A child needs their own passport — a child cannot enter Russia with a birth certificate;
  • Ticket and hotel booking confirmation (tour voucher).

If the child travels with one parent, the other parent's consent is not required. If travelling without parents, a notarised parental consent is needed.

Good to know:

In many Russian cities hotels charge a tourist tax of up to 2% of the accommodation cost, but not less than 100 RUB per night. The rate is set by the city, and the tax is included in the accommodation bill.

Medical insurance is not mandatory for a trip to Russia, but we recommend getting it.
