Hotels in Mauritius

Visa requirements

Citizens of Belarus do not need a visa for a tourist trip to Mauritius: a stay permit of up to 60 days is stamped in the passport free of charge on arrival.

Before departure, all passengers complete the Mauritius All-in-One Travel Form online at safemauritius.govmu.org and the Health Declaration Form. The online form has replaced the previous paper forms. It is best to print the confirmation and take it to passport control.

Documents required for entry

• Passport valid beyond the intended period of stay. Airlines and tour operators may require a longer validity, so it is safer to have a passport valid for at least 6 months;
• All-in-One Travel Form confirmation;
• Return ticket;
• Confirmed hotel booking (tour voucher);
• Funds for your stay;
• Medical insurance.

Customs regulations

Persons over 18 may bring duty-free one of the following sets:

• 250 g of tobacco products, 1 litre of spirits and 2 litres of wine or beer;
• 250 g of tobacco products and 2 litres of spirits;
• 250 g of tobacco products and 4 litres of wine or beer.

Other goods may be brought in duty-free up to a value of 15,000 MUR. Cash exceeding 500,000 MUR must be declared.

Fresh fruit, vegetables and plants may be imported only with a permit from the Ministry of Agriculture, pets — with a permit from the veterinary service and after quarantine. Prescription medicines may be brought in quantities for up to 3 months.

Good to know:

Hotels and other tourist accommodation charge a tourist fee of 3 € per person per night. It is collected by the hotel; children under 12 are exempt.

Currency can be conveniently exchanged at the airport on arrival, at banks and exchange offices. Keep your exchange receipts.

Smoking in public places is prohibited in Mauritius.

Bring mosquito and insect repellent.
