Visa Requirements

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus do not require a visa to enter Cuba for tourism purposes (for stays of up to 30 days).

Entry for Belarusian citizens into the Republic of Cuba is permitted with a valid passport of the Republic of Belarus.

Required Documents for Entry

1. Passport (must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of return from the Republic of Cuba);
2. Each passenger, including children of any age, is required to complete the electronic "Traveler's Health Declaration" / "Declaracion de Sanidad del Viajero" on the website and obtain a QR code before the flight to Cuba. This QR code must be presented during flight check-in and upon arrival in Cuba. The QR code can be printed or displayed electronically on a mobile device.
3. Return ticket, or a ticket to a third country;
4. Completed immigration card (2 copies): the first copy is presented at passport control at the airport along with the passport, the second copy must be kept until departure — it is surrendered to border officials when boarding the flight in Cuba;
5. Hotel booking confirmation (tourist voucher);
6. The duration of stay must be covered at the rate of USD 50 (or equivalent in other convertible currency, in cash or traveler's checks) per person per day, if the passenger has not previously concluded a tourism activity contract with MINTUR in Cuba.

Customs Regulations

Import and export of foreign currency is not restricted, nor is that of national currency.

Duty-free import is allowed for 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco, 2 bottles of alcoholic beverages. Perfumes, medicines, and household items — within reasonable quantities for personal use.

Restrictions upon departure:

• Cigars: you can export up to 20 cigars without any documents. If the quantity of purchased cigars exceeds 20, a store receipt for their purchase is required. The total value of the cigars must not exceed 2000.00 CUC.
• Rum: no restrictions. Restrictions apply only at Russian customs: 2 liters per person, i.e., 3 bottles of 750 ml.
• Coffee: no restrictions.
• Paintings: if a painting is registered with the country's art fund, a certificate of purchase is required. If there is no certificate, it must be purchased (certificate cost is 7.00 CUC).
• Animal trophies: a certificate of purchase from a store is required.
• Corals: export of raw corals is prohibited; for items made of white coral, no certificate is required; for items made of black coral, a certificate is necessary.
• Food products: import and export of food products is prohibited.

Good to know:

Swimming at embankments and wild beaches is not recommended without instructors. The seabed in these areas is often covered with sharp corals and sea urchins. Furthermore, moray eels often hide among the corals.

Tipping is customary in Cuba. While not mandatory, tipping is considered good manners if the client is satisfied with the service. The tipping system applies to porters, waiters in bars and restaurants, hotel maids, drivers, and guides. There are no specific amounts for tips.

Electrical network voltage is 110V (60 Hz), sockets are designed for flat plugs. A corresponding adapter is required. 

Smoking is prohibited in most public institutions.

Cuba is a safe country. Walking around the city at any time is not dangerous. Crime is at a low level, but it is still necessary to observe basic safety measures, especially in Havana at night.

It is more advantageous to bring Euros to Cuba.
