Visa Requirements
For short-term trips (up to 30 days) for tourism purposes, citizens of the Republic of Belarus do not require a visa to enter Indonesia.
Required Documents for Entry
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival at the time of crossing the Indonesian border; must contain the owner's signature). Children under 14 years old can have their own passport or must be included in their parents' passport. Children over 6 years old included in a parent's passport must have a photograph affixed.
- Pre-filled electronic health form (due to the threat of monkeypox spread). The electronic form is published on a dedicated website. After completing it, you will receive a medical pass in the form of a QR code. It must be presented at border control upon entry into the country.
- Return ticket with a fixed departure date.
- Completed customs declaration (distributed on flights to Indonesia; also available in the arrivals hall).
- Tourist service voucher.
- Insurance policy.
- Proof of sufficient funds for the stay in the country.
From 14.02.2024, a mandatory tourist tax is being introduced on the island of Bali, which all tourists arriving in Bali must pay. The tax can be paid online on the website https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id/ before arrival in Bali or in cash at Denpasar Airport. When traveling to other regions of Indonesia and returning to the island of Bali, the tax does not need to be paid again.
Customs Regulations
The following items must be declared:
- Phones, laptop, video camera, DVD/CD discs and other information carriers.
The following items (in addition to commonly known prohibited items) cannot be imported into Indonesia:
- Goods purchased abroad with a total value exceeding $250 per person or $1000 per family (if discovered, they will be subject to tax).
- More than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 200 g of tobacco (if discovered, they will be destroyed).
- More than 1 liter of alcoholic beverages (if discovered, they will be destroyed).
- Animals, fish, plants, or their products (if discovered, they will be quarantined).
- Cinematographic films, recorded video cassettes, discs, or other recordings (if discovered, they will be subject to censorship).
- Banknotes in Rupiah or other currency exceeding the amount of 100 million Rupiah.
Prohibited for export:
- Rare animals and birds, wood carvings from the island of Bali, items and objects of historical and artistic value that do not have a special permit.
Good to know:
When leaving the hotel grounds, use insect repellent. Do not step on offerings left on the floor or on the road.
Do not wear short or very revealing clothing when visiting temples.
Be careful not to touch anyone's head, and avoid standing next to someone sitting on the ground, as the head is considered sacred here.
Boisterous displays of affection are considered offensive to others.
Items should be given and received with the right hand — the left hand is considered 'unclean'. Point at something with the thumb of your right hand, keeping your elbow close to your side.
It is acceptable to appear without a shirt or in swimwear only on the beach.
Sunbathing nude is indecent and illegal.
When visiting a mosque, a woman must have her head covered and no exposed body parts; it is customary to remove shoes before entering.
