Fuel Surcharge for Flights from Belarus Has Increased. A Breakdown by Country

At TravelGo, we monitor changes that directly impact the cost of your tours. Here's important news: Starting March 17, 2026, Belavia has introduced a new fuel surcharge — the price of all air tours on scheduled flights has increased.

The reason is that the price of aviation kerosene per barrel has reached $197, whereas a month ago it was around $95. Airlines are also forced to lengthen routes to avoid conflict zones, and fuel accounts for up to 30% of a carrier's operating costs.

How much extra you'll have to pay: by destination

Vietnam (Nha Trang, Sanya, Matara / Sri Lanka) — +35 USD per person

Vietnam (Phu Quoc) — +100 USD (departures from March 29)

Vietnam (Da Nang) — +145 USD (departures from May 10)

Egypt (Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh) from Minsk — +65 USD

Egypt from Vitebsk and Brest — +70 USD

Egypt from May 1 — an additional +30 USD (second increase).

Turkey (Istanbul) — +35 USD.

China — +35 USD.

What's important to know

Surcharges continue to rise — experts predict airfare increases for almost all destinations due to the conflict in the Middle East.

If a tour is already booked, after tickets are issued, any changes are only possible with a penalty, and if you cancel the tour, the fuel surcharge is non-refundable.

Our advice — book and lock in the price early. TravelGo managers will always inform you of current rates and help you choose the optimal time to purchase a tour.
