Tours to Egypt from Minsk 2026 — everything you need to know

Egypt is a destination that needs no introduction. Every year, thousands of Belarusians choose it for their winter holidays, November vacations, and May getaways. And for good reason: direct flights from Minsk, warm sea year-round, clear infrastructure, and prices noticeably lower than at European resorts.

In 2026, the destination has become even more accessible — flights have been added from regional cities in Belarus, the new El Alamein resort on the Mediterranean Sea has opened, and early booking prices remain attractive. Let's break it all down.

Why Egypt is a top choice for Belarusians

Egypt consistently ranks among the top three most popular destinations from Minsk — alongside Turkey and the UAE. The reasons are simple:

Year-round season. Egypt has no 'closed' season. Even in January, the air temperature stays above +20°C, and the water in the Red Sea doesn't drop below +22°C. This makes the country an ideal option for a winter escape from sub-zero temperatures.

Direct flights. It's a 4–4.5 hour direct charter flight from Minsk to Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh. No layovers, no hours-long waits at airports.

Affordable prices. A package tour to Egypt for two with flights and an all-inclusive system can be found significantly cheaper than a similar tour to Europe or the Maldives.

Excellent infrastructure. 4–5 star hotels with large grounds, water parks, entertainment, and private beaches are the norm for Egyptian resorts, not the exception.

What's new in 2026

In 2026, the flight program to Egypt from Belarus has expanded significantly.

Departures are now available not only from Minsk but also from Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilev, and Brest. The first flight from Brest to the new El Alamein resort started on May 29, 2026. The flight program has been extended until October 17, 2026.

The new El Alamein resort is located on the Mediterranean coast — unlike Hurghada and Sharm, which are on the Red Sea. The Mediterranean coast features a milder summer climate and long sandy beaches. It's an alternative for those who have already been to Hurghada and want something new.

Since March 1, 2026, the visa fee for Egypt has increased from $25 to $30. It is still issued directly at the airport upon arrival — no prior applications or embassies are required.

Egypt's Resorts: Where to Fly from Minsk

Hurghada

The most popular resort among Belarusian tourists. Wide sandy beaches, a large selection of hotels for any budget, developed tourist infrastructure. Hurghada is suitable for family vacations, first-time trips to Egypt, and those who value a variety of entertainment.

Top hotels: Titanic Palace & Aquapark 5*, Albatros Aqua Park Resort 4*, Sea Star Beau Rivage 4*.

Sharm El Sheikh

A more elegant resort with sheltered bays that protect from the wind. Sharm is traditionally chosen for winter holidays — the enclosed lagoons create comfortable conditions even in January-February. An excellent base for diving and snorkeling: the coral reefs here are considered among the best in the world.

Top hotels: Rixos Premium Seagate 5*, Steigenberger Alcazar 5*, Coral Sea Waterworld 5*.

El Alamein (New in 2026)

A resort on the Mediterranean coast with wide white beaches. More tranquil and less touristy than Hurghada. Suitable for those seeking a hassle-free vacation. In summer, it's more comfortable here than on the Red Sea — there's no scorching heat.

Sahl Hasheesh and Makadi Bay

Boutique resorts for those who want to escape the crowds. Fewer tourists, beautiful reefs, well-maintained hotels. Popular among experienced travelers who are well-acquainted with Egypt.

When to Go: Seasonal Calendar

October — November — the golden season. The heat has subsided, the sea is still warm (+26–28°C), and the desert winds haven't started yet. Peak demand, so book well in advance.

December — February — the winter season. In Hurghada, daytime temperatures are around +22–24°C, slightly warmer in Sharm el-Sheikh due to sheltered bays. Sea temperature is +22–24°C — quite comfortable for swimming. This is the perfect time to escape the Belarusian frosts.

March — April — spring. Comfortable weather, warm sea. One of the best periods for travel — prices are not yet at their peak, and the weather is already excellent.

May — June — the start of the hot season. Air temperature rises to +35–38°C. Fewer tourists, lower prices. Thanks to the dry climate and sea breeze, the heat is more bearable than it seems.

July — August — the hottest period (+38–42°C). Tour prices drop — tour operators try to fill flights. If you don't mind the heat, this is a chance to find a very good deal.

September — the velvet season. The heat subsides, the sea is at its warmest (+28–30°C). One of the best months for travel, but tours sell out quickly.

Egypt Tour Prices from Minsk in 2026

The cost of a tour depends on the season, hotel category, and booking date. Approximate prices for two people with flights and an 'All-Inclusive' system:

  • Budget option (3–4★ hotel, low season): from $800–1000 for two for 7 nights
  • Mid-range (4★ hotel, comfortable season): $1300–1600 for two for 7 nights
  • Premium (5★ hotel, velvet season): $1800–2500 for two for 7 nights

Early booking (2–3 months in advance) can save you 15–25% compared to prices closer to the departure date. Last-minute deals appear 7–14 days before departure — when tour operators have unsold seats.

On TravelGo.by you see prices from all Belarusian operators simultaneously: Anex Tour, Coral Travel, Fun&Sun, Aerobelservice, Intersiti, Kompas, and others. You can compare and choose the best offer in one session — without calls or trips to an office.

Visa and Entry to Egypt in 2026

Belarusian tourists need a visa to enter Egypt, but obtaining it is very simple.

A visa on arrival is issued directly at Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh airport. It costs $30 (from March 1, 2026, previously $25). Payable in cash in US dollars or euros.

Sinai stamp — free of charge. If you are flying to Sharm el-Sheikh and do not plan to leave the Sinai Peninsula, you do not need to pay for a visa. The stamp is valid for 15 days and requires no payment.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

What's Included in an 'All-Inclusive' Tour

The standard 'All-Inclusive' package at an Egyptian hotel includes:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Airport — hotel — airport transfers
  • Accommodation in the selected room
  • Meals 3–5 times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, late dinner or snacks)
  • Drinks throughout the day — including alcoholic beverages in most hotels
  • Use of pools, beach, and basic hotel infrastructure
  • Animation and evening shows
  • Basic medical insurance

Excursions (pyramids, diving, safari), spa treatments, and separate entertainment are paid additionally.
