Visa Requirements

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus are granted visa-free entry to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for a stay of no more than 30 days. The total duration of stay must not exceed 90 days per calendar year. 

Required Documents for Entry

1. Passport (valid for at least 6 months from the tour end date);
2. Arrival card, which must be completed no earlier than 72 hours before entry into Vietnam via this link (as of June 22, 2026). Once completed, the system will generate a QR code that tourists must present at passport control.
   
3. Return ticket or ticket to a third country;
4. Hotel booking confirmation (tourist voucher);
5. Medical insurance policy

Customs Regulations

Foreign currency may be brought in without restrictions, but amounts exceeding $3,000 must be declared.

The following may be imported duty-free:

• up to 400 cigarettes, up to 100 cigars or 500 g of tobacco; up to 2 L of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of up to 22 degrees or 1.5 L of strong alcoholic beverages; tea with a total weight of up to 5 kg; coffee up to 3 kg; perfume and fragrances in reasonable quantities, and other goods with a total value not exceeding 5 million dong. 

What is prohibited from being exported from Vietnam:

• National currency. All dong must be exchanged before you go through customs control.
• Antiques and works of art. If you have purchased an antique souvenir or a charming figurine, keep the receipt and ask the seller for confirmation that your purchase is not a historical treasure.
• Jewelry. For all jewelry purchased in Vietnam, obtain export documents. As for the jewelry you arrived with, be sure to include it in the declaration upon entry.
• Folk art items. When purchasing creations by local artisans, ask the seller for an export certificate.

You may export alcohol from Vietnam in unlimited quantities. However, glass bottles must be packed in a foam box, which can be purchased at the airport.

Good to know:

Officially, tipping is not customary in Vietnam, but in many restaurants it has already become common practice.

Local shopping has two pleasant features: a rich selection of purchases and the lowest prices in the region (provided, of course, that you don't forget to haggle). 

Tourists are required to comply with local laws and codes of conduct, and to respect traditions, cultural and religious customs. Failure to comply with the laws may result in liability.
