Visa Requirements

A tourist visa for citizens of the Republic of Belarus is issued on arrival, valid for 30 days (visa fee 100 QAR (~$27.4)).

Required Documents for Entry

1. Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of trip completion);
2. Flight tickets or itinerary/e-ticket receipt;
3. Voucher;
4. Proof of $1,000 on a credit card or in cash
5. Medical insurance policy;

Travelling with Children:

Children under 18 must have their own passport to travel abroad, and:

– With one parent: a birth certificate is required. Consent from the other parent is not required, unless a formal travel ban has previously been issued by a court.

– Without parents (in a group / with an escort): notarized consent from both parents is required. 

Customs Regulations

Customs regulations permit duty-free import of perfume (125 mg) and tobacco (up to 400 cigarettes) for personal use. 

There are no restrictions on the import and export of national and foreign currency.

The following are prohibited from being imported into the country (in addition to commonly known items):  

• any alcoholic products, animal skins; electrical and radio devices operating on frequencies not approved by international standards; printed publications, audio and video materials containing content contrary to Islamic norms; fighting breed dogs.

The following are prohibited from being exported from Qatar:  

• military uniforms, as well as clothing imitating them; clothing with the names of Allah and verses of the Quran; gambling machines; items and goods that may offend the Muslim faith.

Good to Know:

In Qatar's capital, Doha, besides the colourful Souq Waqif market and the luxurious Pearl Qatar promenade, there are many shops and showrooms for those who enjoy conventional shopping. The most well-known shopping centres are: Villaggio, Vendome, Mall of Qatar, Doha Festival City Mall, City Centre Mall, Laguna Mall.

Shops are typically open from 10:00 to 21:00.

Entry to mosques is strictly restricted for non-Muslims.

At markets and private shops, you can and should haggle; in large stores prices are fixed, but even there, with the right approach, you can negotiate a small discount.

Milk in Qatar is not pasteurized, so it should be heat-treated. The same applies to vegetables. Fruit should be eaten peeled. Meat and fish should only be eaten well-cooked.

In public places, women should avoid excessively revealing or tight-fitting clothing and mini-skirts, and men should avoid shorts or sleeveless shirts.
